Something you don't see as often in the landscape design field anymore are hand sketches. These days, designs, renders and layouts are made on a computer AutoCAD program and for us, it's no different. But drawing is a talent and a form of art that should never be forgotten. Whether it's a design for a client or just for personal inspiration, hand sketches always seem to add that extra bit of character that truly grasps the concepts of the design.
Scott Ahlborn, our in house Sales & Design Rep, shares some pre-CAD sketches with us and man, do they give us the feels!

Great South Bay in Fire Island
Both of these were what was done before CAD and sketch up. You were taught how to do perspective sketching as a part of your degree. The first one was the result of being early for an upper east side appointment and imagining what an abandoned garden might look like. The other was the result of entertaining a friend's niece and nephew who were visiting Fire Island.
