Jaguar Island Continued

Jaguar Island Continued

The storm has headed out to the reef on “Jaguar Island” in this updated mandala. In place of the storm’s fierce eye a cenote is revealed represented by aqua glass, like a teal jewel being pawed by the jaguars. This evolved mandala continues my exploration of fears by plunging into the cenote, the Mayan route to the underworld, and embracing the unknown as mystery to master. The calming and centering qualities of blue will also enter my meditation to encourage concentration and trust in myself.

Alternating patterns of hexagon found in the natural world including stingray and snakeskin deliver exotic beaches to my mind ribbed with stingray sandbars that ebb and flow in the tide. Their geometric orientation and alternation portray an organization of my thoughts, skills, and tools to tame my fears with “Born to be Wild” animal skins. The final update to this mandala next month will show the storm’s effect on these hexagonal configurations and share more beautiful and fortified applications of them in the wild, including bees' eyes and hives. And stay tuned to meet the Jaguar Island Mongoose…
