James Abbett retired from his position as Outdoor Service Foreman at the end of 2019.  At the start of the 2020 outdoor season, it was the beginning of the Pandemic.  By April, NYC was at the peak of the Pandemic, but our customers needed their gardens prepped for spring.  With all the operational challenges we were facing, we needed some additional hands that we could count on. James came back to work part time to manage some key sites in the downtown portfolio. James says, "One of the best things about coming back is I never realized how much I'd miss my customers and the sites I maintained".  In turn, all of James' customers were "beyond thrilled" to have him back tending to their sites.  In a year, with so much chaos and uncertainty, it was comforting for them to see their trusted friend providing care for their garden. The growing never stops.
