Go outside! 

Remember when your parents use to tell you to go “outside and play”? 

Usually it was just to get you out of there hair, but it turned out to be some very good advice. It’s a healthy activity for you, so I make an effort to continue that to this day. I try to get out at least once or twice a week for a good hike into the woods and that’s were my indoor planting career started. Someone said, “wouldn’t it be nice to bring the outdoors inside?” It’s fun to find unique things outdoors that can be brought indoors like a fountain or a bamboo grove, it introduces the unexpected. That said, I feel as though I am born to inform others what getting outside can do for you. You never know where it will lead you!   

These photos are of one place we visit quite frequently called, The old Jungle Habitat Safari in West Milford which was open from 1972 – 1976 (most of you were not even born yet!) 

Now it’s part of the NJ parks system and turned into a hiking and biking trail system with 26 miles of paved road, mostly taken back by the forest. But, the remaining portions are in better shape then most of the roads we drive on today. Here are some pictures from the old place with very few standing out posts. I will continue to take many trips to explore the old place as it's well worth the hike.  

So, like your parents use to say …go outside and play!!!
