From a young age I have always loved working in the yard and gardening outdoors, especially in the fall. At the beginning of my professional career I worked at top 100 golf courses because I always had a passion for the game of golf, the architecture, and maintaining turf at a very high level. After working at Sleepy Hollow Country Club for 2 years I felt an urge to try something new as my passion was waning. I discovered John Mini on Craigslist and took a chance on a career shift in the role of an Installations Foremen. Within a few months, a role opened up as Exterior Service Supervisor which fit my experience of running the horticultural maintenance crews at high end private country club facilities.
Soon our business at John Mini grew and I advanced into the role of Account Manager, then Regional Account Manager and now I’m in my 12th year with the company and 2nd full season as the Director of Outdoor. Growing professionally and growing plants outdoors in cool spaces in NYC are what it’s all about for me. #BorntoGrow
