Communication, a tool we use in our everyday life to manage relationships between our families and peers. This is no different when it comes to the business environment, communication is what ultimately drives the center of a business. Being the Business Development Coordinator for John Mini Distinctive Landscapes, I am often found with the task of communicating necessary information about projects to our Sales Team and watching/learning how they provide solutions for their clients. Given my role in the company, I’m able to be a part of many of the solutions that we are able to provide to our clients across our all of our business streams. It allows me the chance to explore all of the cutting edge projects that we take part in.
Being new to the Landscaping field, I started this position with a limited knowledge in horticulture, and how one can make a garden or roof top so special. Now entering my eighth month with the John Mini Team, I can confidently say that my knowledge has drastically grown. Landscapes not only can look beautiful, but can help improve air quality, create biodiversity, and enhance our quality of life. By observing and working with our seasoned sales and design staff, I’ve been able to absorb a ton of useful information.
Seeing the projects process from beginning to end is truly remarkable, but what is even better is our client’s reactions. Whether our Sales Team is dealing with a design already in mind or having the opportunity to develop one ourselves, they never fall short of excellence. While I am on the communication aspect of these projects, I am developing many skills that I am looking forward to exploring all the opportunities available to solve any of our clients landscaping needs in the future.
