Get Ready to Say Goodbye to Winter
Spring is coming so this means you should start preparing the outdoor area of your office for the nice weather. The transition period from Winter to Spring can seem muddy and dead, but by preparing now, you won’t have to worry about your landscape looking sad once Spring hits.

Clean up
Start by cleaning up the area. If there are any sticks from past storms laying on the ground, get rid of them, as well as leaves and other debris that may have wandered onto your area.

Plant
Plant some new flowers that thrive in the Spring and Summer. This will add color to the area, as well as visually clean up the place. If your grass is dead, give it a boost and spread some seeds and add fertilizer.

Mulch
Add some new mulch to the landscape. This will make a huge difference once it’s complete. A fresh layer of mulch can transform the area more than you’d think!

Check irrigation systems
If you have irrigation systems at your workplace, make sure they are ready to go to work. If your grass isn’t being watered, you’ll have brown, dry grass and that isn’t good for both the Earth as well as your business.

Seating area
If you have a seating area for your employees, make sure you check to see if it is ready for those outdoor lunch breaks. Make sure to re-plant or add flowers to make the area seem colorful and welcoming, as well as check to see if the benches or chairs made it through the harsh Winter.

Preparing your office space for the Spring is important and will make the transition into the season easier if you start now. Say goodbye to Winter! It’s time to focus on plants, flowers, and nice weather. For all of your landscaping needs, contact John Mini Distinctive Landscapes!
